Research into collecting and measuring reliable, accurate, naturalistic microscopic traffic data is a fundamental aspect in road network planning scientific literature. The vehicle trajectory one of the main variables flow theory that allows to extract information regarding characteristics. Several methods techniques have been applied acquisition trajectory. forthcoming applications intelligent transport systems on vehicles infrastructure require sufficient innovative tools calibrate existing models more complex situations. Unmanned aerial (UAVs) are most emerging technologies being used recently transportation field monitor analyze flow. aim this paper examine use UAVs as tool for collection analysis. A comprehensive guiding framework accurate cost-effective surveys analysis using proposed presented detail. Field experiments acquiring trajectories two multilane roundabouts were carried out following framework. Results experiment indicate usefulness technology various studies. results study provide practical guide acquirement UAVs.
